Faridkot Police Website

This website was designed for Faridkot Police (Faridkot is a district in the Punjab State of India). Firstly, the popularity of dial-up connections is more than broadband connections in this area. Secondly, the website was information-oriented and the graphics were low on the priority list. At the same time it should look professional. So taking these factors into account, we designed this website with minimal imagery which was used to maximum effect.We concentrated more on the colours and used repetitive images to minimize the traffic load.

The Police Administration also wanted a control panel for the website through which they could change the information without knowing any technical details. We developed this control panel using Ruby On Rails framework. Now they can easily change the details regarding most wanted people, kidnapped people, missing people, POs, Stolen Vehicles and Unidentified Dead Bodies. They can also add press releases, change telephone numbers and officers details. We also provided them with the site-wide search functionality to make it easy to find information.
