What is Outsourcing

According to Oxford Dictionary Outsource is the term which refers to arrange for somebody outside a company to do work or provide goods for that company. Recently this term has come to be used mainly for the work done by companies of the developing countries like India, China, Romania, Ukraine etc. for the big companies of developed nations like United States of America, England, Australia etc. By outsourcing their work to these smaller companies they are able to save millions of dollars and many costly man-hours. Outsourcing has become the buzzword in recent years especially in the fields of Information Technology, Medical Transcription, Medical Tourism and other related BPO activities. With ever increasing competition it has become imperative for every company to reduce costs so as to retain its position in the market. India appears a very attractive destination as an outsourcing hub in this scenario.
